Diego Losada is the  owner of La Senda winery in the Bierzo region of Northwest Spain.

La Senda occupies seven tiny high-altitude plots in hard-to-reach mountainous areas where old Mencia, Palomina and Dona Blanca vines grow on slate soils.

Here is a man so completely committed to the non-intrusive cultivation of his vines that he does everything by hand to ensure the delicate biological balance of the local ecosystem is maintained.
