Masi Tupungato is a winemaking project developed in Argentina by Masi, an Italian company with origins in Valpolicella in 1772, producing quality wines from the Venetian regions and a leader in the Amarone sector.
Masi has found the right cultural and environmental conditions for the use of the grapes and techniques native to the Venetian regions in the Tupungato valley, Mendoza region and has taken its philosophy of care and respect for the environment to this region, creating a totally eco-sustainable company. It is a heaven for native flora and fauna. With complete respect for this unique terroir, they have integrated their own techniques into the winery and created an eco-sustainable reality in which important oases of biodiversity are maintained in the context of organic agriculture.
Masi Tupungato wines have a unique place in the Argentinean wine world, they are the fruit of an original encounter between the emblematic grapes of Argentina, Malbec and Torrontes, and native grapes from the Venetian regions, Corvina and Pinot Grigio.
Wines from the Masi Tupungato estate are made with the appassimento technique, which means leaving the grapes to dry out for the winter months, thus concentrating aromas and perfumes. This is a typical Venetian winemaking method that in Masi is internationally recognised to have a great expertise. It produces versatile and innovative wines, which unite Argentinean exuberance with the attractiveness and elegance of the Veneto.
