VINEYARD Tinta de Toro is an indigenous variety with great personality, found in old vineyards more than 40 years old, on rural terrains at altitudes of between 500 and 700 metres. The influence of the extreme continental climate of Toro together with the importance of the soil allows us to obtain low-yield vines that express all of the varietal nature of the grape. Minimal phytosanitary intervention guarantees the quality of this red wine.
CRIANZA HARVESTING The parcels to be harvested are identified according to the type of soil, altitude, vegetative development and degree of maturation. Harvesting is carried out by hand, using small trailers and first thing in the morning to avoid the high midday temperatures.
WINEMAKING
Classic winemaking with destemmed, crushed grapes. Controlled fermentation in stainless steel vats, with long macerations. Ageing for nine months in American oak barrels and six months repose in the bottle.
TASTING NOTES
Clearly a wine with an intense cherry red colour and garnet red rim. Great aromatic complexity in the nose, a harmonious blend of ripe fruits (plum, cherry) with notes from its ageing in medium toast oak barrels. In the mouth it is a wine that is long-lived, warm and fleshy with prevailing sweet, rich sensations of ripe tannins.

Our delivery charges are based on the number of bottles in your order, and each case can hold 12 x 75cl bottles as shown in the table below smaller and larger bottles are pro rata. We do not have a minimum order requirement.
Subject to stock availability and successful payment authorisation, we aim to despatch your order the next working day after you place your order. Our Standard Delivery is a next day service for most of the mainland UK from date of despatch, and The Highlands and Islands areas are on a 2-3 day service normally. As most orders are delivered via our chosen courier company, we cannot offer guaranteed delivery times, however the vast majority of orders placed arrive on the next working day. During busy periods these delivery times may extend. IF YOUR ORDER IS TIME CRITICAL PLEASE RING THE OFFICE TO GET MORE UP TO DATE INFORMATION ON CURRENT DELIVERY TIME SCALES, AND WE WILL DO OUR BEST TO MEET YOUR REQUIREMENTS, BUT PLEASE NOTE WE ARE COURIER DEPENDENT ONCE THE ORDER LEAVES US, SO WE CANNOT ABSOLUTELY GUARANTEE A DELIVERY DATE.
We are able to hold your order if you would like to organise a day when you are going to be in, to do this just indicate it in the notes box provided in the delivery area of the order process. Please add any other specific delivery requirements in the same box and we will do our best to ensure they are followed, or alternatively call us on 01472 852118 and we will do our best to help you. Our chosen Couriers deliver Monday to Friday between 8.00 am & 6.00 pm.
Please note it is not possible to specify a timed delivery, without incurring additional delivery charges, if this something you require please contact us to discuss your requirements.
Please note that all our consignments normally REQUIRE A SIGNATURE on receipt. We will NOT be able to leave your order without someone taking the order in, we cannot leave your order unattended in a porch or garage etc., unless we get written confirmation from you that this is acceptable and that you will take full responsibilty if the parcel goes missing. However we are able to leave it with a neighbour or at an alternative address where they can take the goods in, please indicate this in the box for notes on the delivery page of the order process, if this is a requirement. If no-one answers the door, the address will be carded in the normal manner you should contact the courier or us to get the delivery rescheduled.
Orders under £30 in value will incur a small order £10 carriage charge to standard none surcharged UK delivery areas.
