Domaine des Chanssaud

This Domaine is owned and run by Patrick Jaume. Founded in 1826 this Domaine is producing top quality Chateauneuf as it should be in the very heart of the Chateauneuf-du-Pape vineyards. The ground is covered with large rounded pebbles which store-up the heat of the sun during the day which is then radiated back to the vines during the night, producing a very maturing system for the grapes. The Domaine spreads over 50 ha : 20 ha of Chateauneuf-du-Pape providing around 640 hl of red wine and 80hl of white wine, and 30 ha of Cotes du Rhone producing a further 1500hl of red, white and rose wines.
