VINEYARD The Tempranillo grapes come from "Montebuena", "Vizcarral", "La Liende" and "El Bosque", our estate-owned, gobelet-trained vineyards that are more than 30 years old, set in the foothills of the Sierra de Cantabria mountain range, in the municipality of San Vicente de la Sonsierra. Low production vineyards, at an average altitude of 550 metres and calcareous clay soil composition. The Mazuelo grapes come from our "El Cerrado" vineyard located in Cenicero. Calcareous clay soil, vines over 30 years old and an altitude of 450 metres, the perfect triad to guarantee the physiological equilibrium of this variety. "El Monte" is our estate-owned vineyard from which the Graciano grapes come. Located in Cenicero, calcareous clay soil, vines of an average age of 25 years and an altitude of 450 metres. Sustainable viticulture with minimal use of phytosanitary products. No insecticides, pesticides or herbicides are used, to preserve the agro-ecology of the different locations.
WINEMAKING The grapes are destemmed and gently crushed. Alcoholic fermentation is nutritionally directed to enhance the work of the selection of native yeasts. The maceration process is prolonged to obtain the desired colour and structure. Ageing in new medium toast American oak barrels for 24 to 30 months. Minimal oenological intervention to enhance the varietal nature of each variety. ALLERGENS Gluten Free. Suitable for Vegans. Contains sulfites.
TASTING NOTES Every time we taste a wine with these terroir combinations we can barely contain our delight. Cherry red colour. In the nose it is assertive, there is zesty red fruit, which gives way to liquorice notes over a very faint background of vanilla pod, coconut and toffee. Its elegance envelopes the palate alluringly, revealing layer upon layer of flavours of red fruits, spices and very unexpected wood. Outstanding natural freshness that gives it life
