Every wine crafted is born from a Masterstroke: a decision that changed the course of Australian winemaking. When Bill Taylor Snr. established the family`s winery in the Clare Valley, in 1969, he recognised the potential for the region to produce outstanding table wines. In doing so, he proved the extraordinary quality of Clare wines to the world and instilled in our winemaking a great passion for regional exploration and winemaking artistry. This range offers the ultimate expressions of varietal character and champions the regional terroir of three diverse South Australian wine regions where each varietal shines. The Masterstroke collection celebrates Australia`s wine regions as an unending source of discovery and inspiration. Award-winning landscape photographer, Benjamin Goode, has beautifully captured each of the three wine regions and his stunning images are featured on each of the wine bottles in the range.
At release, the wine is a deep brick red with an evolving crimson hue. The wine displays complex, intermingling aromas of plums, spice and red fruits with subtle overtones of chocolate, mint and violets along with an appealing ‘tea-like’ herbaceousness and finally cedar and spice from high-quality oak maturation. On the palate, sublimely supple texture with fine tannins melding together for a mouth filling completeness. Shiraz delivers rich and plump dark plum to the mid palate whilst blackcurrent, dark chocolate and mint characters from the Cabernet Sauvignon drives the long and memorable finish. A complex, layered wine showing excellent evolution at release. (Cabernet Sauvignon 65% / Shiraz 35%).
Our delivery charges are based on the number of bottles in your order, and each case can hold 12 x 75cl bottles as shown in the table below smaller and larger bottles are pro rata. We do not have a minimum order requirement.
Subject to stock availability and successful payment authorisation, we aim to despatch your order the next working day after you place your order. Our Standard Delivery is a next day service for most of the mainland UK from date of despatch, and The Highlands and Islands areas are on a 2-3 day service normally. As most orders are delivered via our chosen courier company, we cannot offer guaranteed delivery times, however the vast majority of orders placed arrive on the next working day. During busy periods these delivery times may extend. IF YOUR ORDER IS TIME CRITICAL PLEASE RING THE OFFICE TO GET MORE UP TO DATE INFORMATION ON CURRENT DELIVERY TIME SCALES, AND WE WILL DO OUR BEST TO MEET YOUR REQUIREMENTS, BUT PLEASE NOTE WE ARE COURIER DEPENDENT ONCE THE ORDER LEAVES US, SO WE CANNOT ABSOLUTELY GUARANTEE A DELIVERY DATE.
We are able to hold your order if you would like to organise a day when you are going to be in, to do this just indicate it in the notes box provided in the delivery area of the order process. Please add any other specific delivery requirements in the same box and we will do our best to ensure they are followed, or alternatively call us on 01472 852118 and we will do our best to help you. Our chosen Couriers deliver Monday to Friday between 8.00 am & 6.00 pm.
Please note it is not possible to specify a timed delivery, without incurring additional delivery charges, if this something you require please contact us to discuss your requirements.
Please note that all our consignments normally REQUIRE A SIGNATURE on receipt. We will NOT be able to leave your order without someone taking the order in, we cannot leave your order unattended in a porch or garage etc., unless we get written confirmation from you that this is acceptable and that you will take full responsibilty if the parcel goes missing. However we are able to leave it with a neighbour or at an alternative address where they can take the goods in, please indicate this in the box for notes on the delivery page of the order process, if this is a requirement. If no-one answers the door, the address will be carded in the normal manner you should contact the courier or us to get the delivery rescheduled.
Orders under £30 in value will incur a small order £10 carriage charge to standard none surcharged UK delivery areas.
